How does Acupressure works.

It became such a long rambling response I decided to do a new blog post as this is important to delve into, and I LOVE explaining this stuff!!!  😀

We don’t know everything about how #Energy, the #EnergeticBody, #Healing and #Vibration works, we are just now … hmmm last 40 years or so… realising that the Scientist who was attaching electrodes to plants to discover that plants are connected to us – and plants respond to us harming or even THINKING of harming another living thing – was RIGHT.

Yep.  Awesome stuff.

Complimentary medicine such as Acupuncture, Acupressure, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Reiki and Emotional Freedom Technique have been known to relieve some oppressive symptoms of PTSD, as it is also believed that these modalities can relieve many physical, mental, emotional and energetic disturbances causing things such as back pain, insomnia, nausea, muscle relaxation, migraines and more.

This is called complementary or alternative therapy and is said to cause a ‘placebo’ effect since the medical community has not proved this as fact to the best of their ability.

Those of us who use Energetic Modalities to heal don’t look for proof farther than the comfort in our client or the Energetic shift we feel and palpate in our own Energy.

Acupressure/Acupuncture is a form of Eastern Medicine but is now used widely in North America as a ‘treatment’ used outside of standard medical practices.  Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) does not use science to ‘prove’ what they know is correct and use many techniques to balance the Qi (Energy) of the body.  Qi becomes blocked in certain areas of the body, because of stress, trauma, or many other triggers.  This Qi/Energy is needed to feed the body and organ systems, to promote healing as well as regain the natural rhythm and balance of life force Energy.

Healers, Reiki Masters, TCM Practitioners and Alternative Therapists know that the above begins the formation of dis-ease.  I have been trained in Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Reflexology, Parapsychology, Social Work, and now work as a Personal Support Worker in health care.  I’ve had much success using healing techniques on others and myself, and offer my experiences to help others.

Yoga uses Qi techniques, as does Qi Gong, Tai Chi,  and many other activities that are known to promote a feeling of well being and balance.

Getting on to the nitty-gritty…

Acupressure works by triggering the brain and releasing endorphins to specific areas of the body, or to organ systems associated by the pressure point.  In Acupuncture, the needle is inserted into a specific key point on a Meridian Line.  In Acupressure, just the pressure of the finger or implement is used to stimulate this point on the Meridian Line.  There are 12 major Meridian Lines in the human body.  These Meridian Lines run Qi/Energy to the specified systems they govern and are tasked with keeping the Yin and Yang Qi/Energy balanced.

The majority of us are unbalanced.  This is why I feel it’s important to take control of our own Energy, vibration and focus to create a healthy, happy and balanced life.

I hope this answers any questions you may have had regarding Acupressure and how it ‘works’.
